Participants: cboltz, orangecms, adalovelace, ganglia, wnereiz, mcaj, lrupp a) Provo The current situation with the Admins in Provo is not satisfying: * reactions are delayed not only for hours or days, but weeks and months * the reactions we are getting do not always solve the problem or answer the questions So the team wants to get direct access to the machines - or implement another solution. At the moment, * new machines * setup in Provo * maintained just by openSUSE Admins b) Organisation/Communication As admin@opensuse.org is pointing to a ticket system (which is not really useful for communication), the team will setup a new mailing list: heros@opensuse.org for internal discussions. The "Provo project" will be one of the first projects for the new team. For the organization, there will be a new (sub-) project on progress.opensuse.org to track all the items and stuff that needs to be done for this. The current plans: * buy new hardware for Provo * setup separate network access (public IP) for administration and public traffic * organize place and infrastructure for the new machines * name some people with hardware access (in case we need hardware replacements) * use SUSE Cloud for the Provo setup * use openSUSE Leap as base system for new production machines * request database dump and the current configuration of the openSUSE services that are currently running in Provo (wiki, forum, lizard, news, ...) * setup KVM images for testing: ** the basic setup of the wikis ** the migration from the current version to a new one * create a policies for new opensuse admins and Provo admins. wiki longer term: * make the english wiki usable as "commons" so that other wikis can use the english files without uploading them to the other wikis mcaj expects at Christmas 2016 that everything is in place and everything works better as expected before
