How to access, and install from, this ceph repository

for accessing the most recent ceph packages built for SUSE Linux
Enterprise Server 11 SP2, the simplest possibility is to use standard
tools provided by the SUSE distribution, such as zypper.

This public FTP-Server [1] contains a zypper repository containing the
most recent ceph packages provided by SUSE. For adding this repository
as installation source, just do the following as root:

 $ zypper ar -c ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/hmacht/ceph/SUSE:SLE-11-SP2 ceph-SUSE

Installation and dependency resolving can be done by issuing

 $ zypper in ceph

An alternative is to use YaST2's installation management.

For staying up to date, perform

 $ zypper dup -r ceph-SUSE

This will update your Ceph installation to the most recent state.

For not using zypper, just point your browser to [1], download the
required RPMs and install them manually.
